RESOLUTION HONORING BEATRICE CHILDS ON THE
EVENT OF HER 100TH BIRTHDAY
RESOLUTION #03-283
WHEREAS, Beatrice Childs was born in Lupton, Michigan on November 13, 1903; and
WHEREAS, at the age of eight, Beatrice moved to Owosso, Michigan, where she later graduated from Owosso High School; and
WHEREAS, Beatrice and her husband Clarence Childs were married 51 years and had two sons; and
WHEREAS, Beatrice served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Ionia Hospital, as well as the Soldiers' Home in Grand Rapids, Michigan; and
WHEREAS, in 1996 Beatrice moved into the Edgewood Retirement Center in Lansing; and
WHEREAS, on November 13, 2003, Beatrice will be celebrating her 100th birthday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors and extends its best wishes to Beatrice Childs on the event of her 100th birthday.
